Vegetable Soup

This dish was a hearty and healthy soup. It consisted of so many flavorful ingredients. By putting all of the vegetables together it came to be a fabulous soup with an irresistible flavor and a wonderful hint of Parmesan cheese.

Day 7

It has been a week! Its time to cook some vegetable soup.

French Onion

This was a sweet and mild soup. The touch of wine compliments it well. Although it tastes great on its own, by adding the buttery crouton and shavings of cheese makes it a meal in itself.

Day 6

Today we made French Onion soup.

"Cream of Spinach"

This was a full bodied soup. It was light, yet creamy. A definite keeper!

"Cream of Sorrel"

This soup had an earthy taste, with a bit of tang. It leaves a great aftertaste!

Day 5

Today we are cooking "Cream of Sorrel" and "Cream of Spinach" soup.

"Cream of Mushroom"

The soup was very flavorful. I would of like the soup more if it was thicker. The mushrooms also had a crunch. I think the mushrooms should of been softer.

Day 4

Today's Recipe was "Cream of Mushroom" soup.

"Cold Water-cress"

Served cold, with the consistency of a gumbo, this soup was also very good.

If given a choice between the two, I would prefer the "Vichyssoise".

"Vichyssoise"

I must admit, I was presently surprised. Although I prefer a warm soup, and this soup is served cold, it was very good.

Day 3

Today we are cooking "Cold Water-cress" soup and "Vichyssoise".

"Potage Creme de Cresson"

This soup was a "Cream of Water-cress" soup. It was very different compared to the original "Water-cress" soup. It was hard to decide which soup was best today. The "Water-cress" soup had potatoes and the "Cream of Water-cress" did not have potatoes. This changed taste as well as consistency.

"Potage au Cresson"

This "water-cress soup" was a variation to the "Leek and Potato" soup. The added water-cress made it more flavorful compared to the original potato soup.

Day 2

Today's recipes are "Potage au Cresson" and "Potage Creme de Cresson". Potage au Cresson is a water-cress soup and Potage Creme de Cresson is cream of water-cress soup.

"Leek or Onion and Potato Soup"

We successfully completed out first recipe! Although the soup tasted very good, it was thinner then we would of liked. Next time we can make a few changes to make it thicker.

Day 1

Happy New Year, it is day one. The recipe for today is "Leek or Onion and Potato Soup".
Helpful Hint: The colder the onion, the less likely your eyes are to burn.

Our Goal

It's the year 2010. The goal is to complete, by December 31st, Julia Childs, "Mastering the Art of French Cooking". We are Frankie and Lisa Capelli, mother and son. We have a passion for cooking and were inspired by the movie "Julie and Julia".
